1,2 3 and SSN still poor for me. 4 and 5 are the only two channels that are back to normal.

My subscription runs out tomorrow. I won't be back until this is sorted. I'm not a fan of ******* money against a wall.

Same problem here too, terrible picture quality on the sports channels. I only bought a month pass today for the F1 as I was offered the month for £16.99, at this quality its not even worth that though.

I just came on here to report the exact same experience. I bought the half-price sports pass to watch the Australian and Chinese GPs that are not on Channel 4 and was astonished to find that the F1 stream on my Roku box is not in HD, while the entertainment channels and Sky 1 are. I would not consider paying full price for less than HD quality.

Just watching sky sports F1 now, the quality seems to have improved and is now streaming at 4865. I tried sky sports 1 just out of interest and the quality on there is still awful.

It seems to be fixed now. I was watching F1 Practice 1 and it was very poor quality. Decided to watch using the app on my mac and it was clearer. Now watching Practice 2 and its back in HD quality. Hope its working for everyone.

This thread is now 7 pages long.. come on NOW TV..

Can your customers have an update on this? An acknowledgement of the issue? This seems to have been going on for a week now on all sports channels.

I would say that a free week pass to all current subscribers is the least you should do in this case.

On the PS4 app the Sky Sports F1 channel is back to normal, and i think SS4 is also good, but the rest are still poor, at least they appear to be solving the issue now.

@Anonymous User ss4,ss5 and ssf1 are good again on my black now tv box,and whats the really annoying thing is that no one from now tv has made any comment on this issue, lets hope the other channels are sorted soon,we can only hope everyone affected are given some sort of a refund in some way.

Fanboys on here have rightly so said that "Now TV are listening"....... but well, where I come from it's common courtosy to acknowledge an issue to complaining customers and explain the route the company is taking to sort the issue out!!!!

For me, It seems there was an issue with the 720 HD streaming on most channels and Now have reverted back to an older system to carry the channels at what seems a defunct SD quality.

Maybe I'm wrong.

Now Fanboys, please remember that this isn't some silly free service and that us customers deserve better and at the very little a answer to an obvious issue in quality.

Last week my Smart Box bricked itself terminally (while updating?), so I dug out my old Black Box to use before I got round to getting a replacement.

Now I was under the impression that the NOW TV live streams were restricted to SD picture quality (except for sports) on the Black Box, but when I compared it side by side with my replacement Smart Box (which supposedly outputs 720p HD for all live streams), the picture qualty was identical.

So is the often quoted chart (below) in need of updating, and also is this a change that has occured to Black Boxes that have recieved the recent 7.5.3 update?

Hi @chai

The streaming quality article was updated a month or two ago. But it's not as clear as it used to be. It now seems to suggest that everything is available in up to 720p . Note I say up to though, so you might not get 720p on everything. Of course as always, it also depends on the device you're using

@chai I don't know when that will be I'm afraid. From what I've seen on my smart box, though some of the non-sports streams look better than others, so some of them may have already been updated.

@commanda6 I understand that the quality of the live streams varies, but what I was getting at was that the output of the Black Box live streams is now the same as the Smart Box, and was wondering when this change happened?

Yeah mine's all good now. Should get something for our inconvenience though as our subs ain't cheap for the sports package. 5 days of substandard quality with no explanation isn't really on is it?

Its still disgraceful that a company the size of sky can not explain the low stream quality that has affected so many of there customers and even there indian live chat staff wastes everyones time by going through there check list checks knowing theres a technical fault with there bandwidth. It seems now tv lacks leadeship who does not value there customer base one bit.

New to NowTV for F1 qualifying. Shocking user experience with constant drop outs and poor image quality. Thankfully only purchased a single day pass - won't be seeing me back again.

The Sky Sports News app seemed to be back to HD again this morning.  Hopefully this improvement will remain.
