The landline doesn't work

The website test on phone line says everything is fine, but it isn't.

The broadband works fine, but the phone just gives one 'ting' if called and when dialing out I'm told I need to use the area code which I am using. Dialling a mobile you just get told number is wrong.

Unfortunately when Open Reach guy installed it, we only checked there was a dial tone, but didn't actually try to use it. Can I actually call a human being to discuss this rather than just be given a list of options by their phone system, none of which apply to me?

@billbn7  I'm having exactly the same issue, can't get to speak with anyone either!! Very frustrating. Submitted a complaint but nothing back yet.
