Outage in Devon (Exeter)

Anyone else in Exeter area having a long outage? It's been over 24 hours for me and impossible to chat to a human about it! I don't want to complain, I just want an email/a heads up about this and when it will be fixed. Anybody know?

@MH

You need to contemplate the logistics issues involved in expecting an email about this.

Firstly, Now would need to know precisely the area of the outage. Secondly, they would need to know all the Now Broadband customers who lived in that area. Thirdly, they would need to know that all those customers had an alternative method of getting emails when their landline was down.

So it would be decidedly hit and miss 😢

So it’s your responsibility to get in touch with Now and register the outage; and this will at least start the compensation clock running for the daily payments you are entitled to if the issue is not fixed in a timely manner.

However:-

but see what Now Broadband say when you call them…

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

In theory you do have to complain, that your broadband is down.

The only way you get any real update is by calling them. See the link for the number.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help
