Epsom printer

Hi I just got a new Epsom xp2155 printer, everything is installed but I can’t find it over the wifi and it won’t printI’ve worked through troubleshooting and still drawing a blank, I think it’s the wifi blocking it?

I’ve tried some of the bits without luck but whilst I’m okay with IT stuff usually this is beyond me, I even had a colleague who did tech support try for over an hour last night without luck 😞 going to ring now later to see if they can do anything.

Make you phone into a WiFi hotspot, and try connecting to that.

If you can, then this is probably a problem for Now.

If not, it is probably a problem for Epson, or for whoever you bought the printer from.

I bought a good HP printer, £300, in 2005, to send an urgent fax. The fax side worked (which saved me £20,000!), but the WiFi was DOA.

Waitrose swapped it without quibble the next day, and it lasted me ten years.

Even the good makes, like Epson and HP, can let a rogue printer slip out.

I tried using my phone as a hotspot and still unable to connect so possibly a duff printer 😞

Have you tried downloading the latest drivers from the Epsom site? Have you actually connected it to the router? WPS is usually the easiest way to do that.

Yes multiple times 😞 we’ve tried the wps button then waiting for the light on the printer to connect but it just eventually times out. I can’t connect it to my phone either

If it's not connecting with the WPS it sounds like it may be faulty. Do you have an old router (it doesn't need to be connected to the internet) just to see if it can connect to that?

I spoke to Epsom this morning and re did a reinstall - albeit no difference to what I tried previously of an evening and it’s now up and running. Our broadband however is still playing up so liaising again as have an open complaint with now
