When is the AppleTV app Beta going to start, I got an email saying 2nd half of August & not heard anything since. Also will the App be delivered by Apple Test Flight?

Guessing it will be released when upcoming service changes have been made such as 1080p output

I wonder if the new NBC Universal streaming service is the reason for the delay on the new Apple TV beta, 1080p support etc?

Technically the current App is dead, here in our community group and in ALL social media platforms ALL the subscribers are complaining about the outdated App, still no release of the latest updated Now TV App, the MOST un-updated App in Apple TV is (Now TV) this is shame.

And to make matters worse it now doesn’t let me watch my entertainment pass through the Apple TV box and says I have no pass when I do have a pass and can watch through my phone etc,

They will need to do something soon. The NowTV app does not launch on the latest beta of tvOS 13.

Really mine still works and I’m on the TVOS 13 or is there an update don’t want to update if it won’t work??

We also need t make sure they rest our device limits if they do not renew he beta app and we have to roll back to the public app from beta...

@Anonymous User Just updated to tvOS 13 beta 6 and it didn't seem to work. Are you on the dev betas too or just the public beta?

Just the public beta through the Apple TV 4K, hopefully they sort something soon

Having used the BETA I cant see why it wont be released soon as seems stable and feature complete. Maybe they waiting for tvOS13 to be released - Hopefully.

m on one year contract with NowTV (Films + entertainment) and it is about to expire and now by next month we have the new (Disney+ and Apple+) so I'm thinking seriously to cancel Now Tv deal and move to Apple.

Disney + is not launching next month in the UK. It has no U.K. date at present.

If the now tv app was updated for Apple TV i think a lot of people would stay, I had to buy a now tv box which isn’t half as good as Apple TV but at least the app is 110 times better shame I can’t do that on the Apple TV

I still feel quite sure that the new app for tv (currently a long while in beta) will be released, but no idea how much longer the wait will be (nor why). Maybe the release of tvOS 13 on Tuesday will bring some news.

Well the final version of TVOS 13 has already gone to developers so they can make any last minute tweaks to apps so if the new app really is ready nothing would stop them launching on Tuesday. It would basically complete Apple TV everything else is a solid app on there now from BT Sport to Twitch.
