now player keeps closing

When i go to watch shows on my laptop, it brings up the now app, buffers and then closes without loading the show.  What is wrong and how do i fix this?  I have tried deleting and redownloading the app but this didnt work.

Are you running Bitdefender? Pihole? Some other service that blocks certain IP addresses to suppress ads or maintain your privacy?

If so, turn them off, at least temporarily, and try again.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
