I have just tried to access disney+ and I get the message 'Disney+ will no longer be available on this Roku model after May 30 2023. To continue using the Disney+ app, along with all of its newest features and functionalities please upgrade your device to a newer model'
I have upgraded my system. I am using a Now 4500sk.
Help, am getting very frustrated that its not working. If I brought a fire stick or now tv stick would it work then?

@Steffi the Now 4500sk is several years old and like most devices these days has a limited shelf life as apps become more system hungry.
Now no longer make their own devices but if you were to purchase an Amazon Firestick or Roku stick then Disney+ will work.
The only downside is that you wouldn't get Freeview with either of those devices.

Now should then provide users with a free firestick. We cannot now use DISNEY+ on our tv and haven't for months. It's wasting money. It isn't good customer service. Can this issue be resolved?

Absolutely not a chance is that going to happen. Different story altogether if it was the NOW app however.
It is nothing to do with NOW that Disney+ has decided to stop supporting certain devices.

It is only the first Now Box with a Freeview tuner that Disney have stopped supporting. All other Now boxes, and the Stick, and all other Roku devices, still support Disney+.
Perhaps Disney, the culprits here, will give you a new device to watch their channel on, as they would be the ones who would benefit?
Or you mention that you have a TV. Can you not get Disney+ on that?

Why should Now provide you with hardware to watch a service from a third party company?
No even the likes of Netflix provide "free"hardware to watch their service, and neither do Amazon if you want to watch Amazon prime content.
So why do you think that Now should give you a free bit of hardware to watch another service .
The issue can be resolved if you stop whinging, get off your own backside and sort out your own hardware to watch a service. A recent Roku model ( avoid the SE) or firestick ( avoid the "lite" model) should suffice

A bit harsh 😢
After all, Now gave out free Sticks when they obsoleted the white box, to users who were still on that one, and I got a free Firestick from them when they sunset Now on my 2015 Samsung TV. In 2022, 7 years on!
So Now certainly are very proactive in ensuring that Now members don’t lose out.
And you’d think Disney would be the same, when it’s their decision, not Now’s, that takes their app off a platform.
