now tv box is not conecting to the internet

Hi The now tv box has not worked for the last 21 days it is not conecting to the internet have don all the trouble shooting and it still does not want to conect, it says there is a problem with the router i know this is not true as its a brand new router plus my computer and phone is conected to it so its the box, its the fact that the re-newal went through on the 31 july and we have not been able to get the benefits of this at all i need help to sort this out and do not seem to be getting any answers on this website as you make it so hard to be able to chat to someone or even a phone number, i want this sorted as we are wasting money on now tv that we cant even watch we need sorting ASAP

Welcome to the forum.

 

Whilst you've not said what error message/problem comes up, a common error message when connecting the box to the network is 014/013, especially if you have a Virgin broadband router. Have a look at the following help article

I have just done your suggestions but they do not work at all as for an error code there is no error code it says can not conect to router i have turned the router off and reset set it but it is not the router as my laptop is conected fine and my sons ps3 is conected fine what else can i do

If you supply a few more details it should make it easier for someone to come up with a solution. If you can, let us know the make and model of your router and which ISP you are with. 

 

Also, how far can you get along the connection process - do you see your wifi network listed? (if not, try moving your box to a different TV in the house, preferably the one closest to the router to see if it connects then).

 

Can you enter the wifi password successfully?

 

Are you able to try connecting straight to the router with an Ethernet cable to see if that is successful?
