How do i turn of the fake crowd noise on sky sports.

Watching Tottenham vs Chelsea tonight but its driving me insane.  Both channels have fake crowd noise on them.  Sky main event and sky football. Can I switch it off ?  Have they mistakenly put it on both channels.  I'm watching on youview box.  Am I doing something wrong?   I cant even switch off the commentary and put the radio on , because they are so out of sync.

Watching the football tonight Brighton v Man U.  So annoying that no longer seem to have the option and I can't believe that if there was a crowd then wouldn't be so noisy as the fake noise as nothing is happening!!!

Its so loud, can't hear the commentary properly.  The crowd is a continuous loop of noise.  Not at all realistic.

That's a good thing when Carragob is making noise.  Even if it was silent I can barely understand him.

Its driving us mad too. Thought you were able to choose whether you wanted crowd noise of not, but it seems to be on both channels. HELP!!

My understanding is that it was a choice by the football leagues to do the “crowd” noises.

German football do exactly the same thing from what I noticed when watching a bit on BT sports.

Thanks for the reply. Seemed to have a choice before but obviously it's been decided that we all enjoy the monotonous crowd noise! Will just have to watch the pictures and no sound at all then!

You get a choice for Premier League, not EFL cup.

I heard the commentator on one of the cup matches last week  mentioning that natural sound was available by selecting the AD button  - wasn't clear as whether that applied to Sky boxes or across all platforms.
