I have tried playing every episode of Penny Dreadful season 2 and all of them show the same message "Sorry, something went wrong.". I have just successfully watched season 1 and the first episode of season 3 started to play, but I don't want to watch that before season 2! I am aware that there are issues, but did not see this programme as a recent post.
Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
