If you have BT as your Internet provider can you disable Smart Setup.
This should resolve your issue for you.

I am having the same problem. Chromecast works fine with all other players but not now tv. My broadband is provided my talktalk
@Anonymous User silly question are you trying to cast from inside the app or are you casting your screen then trying to play content?
I am having the same problem. It has worked fine for months, and yesterday suddenly stopped working.
i am chrome casting from within the now TV app: it will play on my iPad but not on screen.
other apps are working generally ok, but absolutely nothing from now TV
@Anonymous User the issue may be related to your Ipad App. I have just tried casting to Chromecast from the Android app and that is working fine. Might be worth popping onto chat and trouble shooting there with the tech team.

I might have missed this in the above threads, but have you tried reinstalling the iOS Chromecast app?
Yes I've tried reinstalling the app. We have 2 iPads and it's the same issue on both

Other things that you can try if you haven't tried them already are.
Sign out of the nowtv app on your device, then delete the nowtv app then go to the App store and download & reinstall the nowtv app then log back in again.
If that doesn't work i would try signing out of the nowtv app then switch off your router for 30 minutes then try signing in again on the nowtv app.
Ok I signed out and deleted everything off every device. I've reset the chromecast and I've rebooted my router. This allowed us to watch one program and now we have the same problem again
I have used Now TV for nearly a year now and always cast to my to from my iPad using a chromecast. Recently I have been getting an error message which read
'somethings not right. Give it a moment, or check nowtv.com/status for updates (0)'
All software on the iPad is up to date and I have tried resetting the chromecast only to get the same message. Other devices such as iplayer and YouTube work fine.
can anyone help with this.

Have you tried rebooting your Router ?
@Anonymous User try clearing your watchlist first and then searching again for program then select cast before playing program.

Out of curiosity who is your ISP ?
Is the NOW TV App/ Cast App all upto date on your device ?
Are you using the old style Chromecast or the Chromecast 2 ?

Thanks for getting in touch with us. I'm sorry to hear you've been having issues with your Chromecast.
I have some things you can try 🙂
Could you try resetting the device by holding the button on the device for 30 seconds?
You may need to try re-adding the device to the Chromecast app too.
Can you also confirm what version of iOS you're using? (As exact as possible)

i have tried resetting the device but get the same error.
I have also had all devices removed from now TV and readded by one of your team.
