Guardians of the Galaxy

Wisecracking space adventurer Peter Quill finds himself being pursued by relentless bounty hunters after he steals an orb that’s coveted by arch villain Ronan. To avoid the clutches of Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with four disparate misfits, who find themselves pulled together as they grapple with a cosmic power that threatens the very existence of the universe.

Kill the Irishman

Based on a true story, this crime thriller tells of Irishman Danny Greene’s rise from tough Cleveland neighbourhood to become an enforcer for the local mob. Played by Ray Stevenson, Greene’s ambitions don’t end there and before long he stops taking orders and sets up on his own, leading to an inevitable confrontation with his former paymasters. Although the mafia want him dead, it proves easier said than done.

The Longest Week

Reaching the landmark age of 40 has been one long comfortable ride for Conrad Valmont. Things change when the over-educated, under-employed heir to the Valmont Hotel fortune finds himself cut off from his allowance and thrown out onto the harsh streets of New York City’s Upper West Side. Luckily, the cast out heir is taken in by an old friend but things start to get complicated when the charming Valmont (Jason Bateman) immediately falls for his pal’s girlfriend.

Next Goal Wins

Having lost infamously 31-0 to Australia, American Samoa are the unofficial ‘world’s worst football team’. This documentary follows the team, whose star player happens to be a transgender centre-half, as it battles through the World Cup qualifiers. With the help of gruff American coach Thomas Rongen, the players embark on a journey of self-discovery in an inspirational tale that highlights the redemptive spiritual qualities of the beautiful game.

Was so pleased to see the Guardians of the Galaxy coming on here, loved it in the cinema and wanted to watch again.  However sound quality v poor.  The dialogue volume is drowned out in many places.  For example when you get to the mid air action at around 59:30 mins you cannot hear what the actors are saying for the loud lasers.  This needs to be looked at

Note its not just that the volume is drowned out by other noises in some parts of the film you can hear the dialogue volume dramatically shift up and down sometimes in mid sentence compared with ongoing background effects and music.

Note this is not down to a setting on my box or tv as tried through the now tv box and on a laptop
