Hi @Anonymous User

I am afraid to say that NowTV don't give customers the option to setup a Direct Debit payment and the only method of payment offered are by credit card or debit card with the Visa or Mastercard logo on the bank card.

To save money i would always recommend going down the nowtv voucher or gift card route over the monthly subscription payments on your account  Smiley Wink

Hi @Anonymous User

Forgot to add on my previous post, that if you go down the voucher / gift card route you still unfortunately need to have a current up to date bank card left on your nowtv account for their streaming service to work.

NowTV set up what’s called a CPA Continuous Card Payments which basically gives them permission to take what they want when they want.

in fact my CPA was set up without informing me that it was a CPA (which are the usual method of payment for dodgy companies, porn websites, payday loans etc) and can be a complete nightmare to cancel as most companies that use this method continue to take payments even years after cancelling!!!

i only know this as I repeatedly enquired with NowTV once I’d been kindly pointed in the right direction of customer services email as it’s extremely hidden.

i will be taking my complaint to the FCA and Ofcom as this method must be done knowingly yet it’s not stipulated anywhere upon signing up with NowTV,so if I find out any alternatives I will update you, good luck.

Write to customerservices @ NowTV.com (removing the spaces in the email address as it needs to be presented here) detailing your problem, your account number, the debit card number in question, etc.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

I have been charged more than once since I joined in June. Each month they have tacked two payments of £8-99 I have contacted about this they said someone else must be using my details which is not the case. Say should change card details but  issue not resolved anyone else had this problem

You should PIN your account so that only you can purchase addition passes and/or facilities. Afterwards, cancel the additional passes that you did not order and double check that you did not set up extra accounts without realising it.

All you have to do is go into My Account >>> Manage Account at the top of this screen.

I get cashback from Santander if I pay by Direct Debit.  I cannot see this as being a payment option.

Any suggestions welcomed!

NowTV don’t do Direct Debits.

For a service such as they offer, I don’t think they would wish to adhere to the arrangements behind Direct Debits, such as customers being able to dispute them, and reverse them, at will.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
