You must be trying to connect from some device, maybe your TV?
What device is it?
Can you try on the device you are posting here with? (I know that may be a mobile, on your mobile provider’s service; but if that works, try it on your Virgin WiFi, and if it won’t connect, then I think you need to talk to Virgin as to why it won’t connect).
Tip: If you have a new router, and find changing the passwords on all of your many devices (and you could well have more than you think) and then trying to get them to connect to be a pain in the rear, change the password/name on your new router (SSID/wifi name and password) to that of your old router, and then you only change the settings on one device and everything else should connect with no hassle.
Keep a record of the old Wi-Fi name and password, and the new routers password /wifi name ( that you changed) as if you need to factory re-set the router ( very rare occurrence) you will need to re-set the wifi name and password
