@Anonymous User just to confirm, you changed the card details and account name from your MIL's details to yours but she's still being charged? Are you being charged as well?

Firstly, don't accept the bank saying that they can't cancel the payments as they have a legal obligation to. Have a read through this from Citizens Advice

https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/debt-and-money/banking/stopping-a-future-payment-on-your-debit-or-credit-card/

Secondly, raise a complaint with NowTV (click the link highlighted in blue text about halfway down the page that is appropriate)

https://help.nowtv.com/article/how-to-submit-a-complaint

If NowTV don't give a satisfactory response you can use this free service to help you

Good luck getting this sorted!

As a Now TV customer, I was not aware that you could change the name of another's Now TV account into your name, I honestly believe that is prohibited.

First, you have to confirm to yourself that you have your own Now TV account

Next, find out if your mother-in-law's Now TV account is still active, I presume you still have it's user name and password.

Now, go through the account and cancel all the passes, I believe each active pass has to have it's cancellation confirmed 4 or 5 times.

Finally, you will have to contact Now TV, using the following URL, to ensure your mother-in-law's account is closed down.

Hope this helps.
