Windows laptop saying I have the app installed, but it's not showing

I have a Dell laptop with Windows 10. I have downloaded the NowTV app but it's not showing when I try to stream something. I tried to download the app again from the Microsoft store but it keeps saying I already own the app. So I am stuck as to how to stream! Has anyone had that issue?

you need to get the app from nowtv and NOT the old one from the microsoft store.

As mentioned by @bacillus  the Microsoft App Store version was retired a couple years ago now. So you’ll need to follow the instructions by @bacillus to get watching again.
