Start it on your phone, being careful to explicitly stop the stream once it is running, rather than just exiting Now or switching your phone off, then switch to using it on your chosen device.
i don’t know which I am more disbelieving of; that this is the advice that works, or that we have had to keep giving this advice for years now, as Now don’t seem able to figure out what the problem here is, and solve it once and for all 😢

Avoid ‘Get Help Quicker’ there; the Nowbot, while it means well, doesn’t know its own limitations, and it won’t help you once you get to this stage.
