Anyone any insight if this is likely to come or should I ditch my NowTV as I cannot use it to stream any on my own content from my Synology NAS - I know I could sidelod Plex but then I would need an additional media server as Plex doesn't work too well on a DS214+

It's not great but i use PlayTo (or PlayTo universal) from my phone/tablet

It picks up the Synology NAS with no issues and you just send it to the NowTV box

I have 2 boxes in the kids bedrooms and they think it's great

 

I also tried PLEX but found it too processor hungry for my 212j

 

nb PlayTo doesnt play all formats, Ive found mp4s most reliable
