Same channel on 2 or more devices with Boost

Hi,

If you have Now TV with Boost, is it possible to watch the same live channel (for example Sky Sports) on 2 or more different Smart TVs at the same time, or would that cause an issue as it's the same channel?

Thanks

No, it's no problem at all, up to 3 simultaneous streams on separate devices with Boost.  🙂

To echo what @redchiz1 says, it isn’t about live TV being classed as a stream. On demand is classed as a stream too.

So it can be a combination of on demand and Live TV viewing with a maximum of 3 at once.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

Live is actually more straightforward than On Demand. Simultaneous watching, at possibly different places, is fine; but because Now does not have profiles, it can only have one High Water Mark (progress point) for any movie on Cinema, or programme/series on Entertainment. So whoever exits last sets the HWM, and the one to three watchers have to take care to remember where they left off.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Thanks, all. I was just concerned if 3 people were all trying to watch the same live channel stream at the same time then it would upset the system. Thanks for clarifying.
