Extremely poor picture quality

I purchased a 4k Now TV box to use with a 4k projector in my home cinema room only to discover that the best picture quality that can be achieved is (720p) and the only audio stream available is stereo. What a joke! 1080p and 5.1 sound should be the minimum available in today’s high tech world....

 

This stinks of Sky protecting their premium satellite service. 

 

Oh, and to add insult to injury the free sky store movie voucher expired in 2016- not even sure how this is possible given that the box wasn’t available in 2016.

 

Very, very poor...........

The box itself can do UHD (2160p) and 7.1 sound. The NowTV app can only do 720p and stereo (2.0)

 

But feed your projector from the Netflix app, on a UHD programme with 5.1 sound, with the highest tier of Netflix subscription, and the box will show you what it is capable of.

 

 

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
