I've been snooping around to try and diagnose some connection issues that NOWTV don't seem interested in doing anything about and was intrigued by the Noise Margin on my line.
Downstream is 4db, upstream is 6db.
I have read elsewhere that BT default lines to 6db.
Have I ended up with the wrong settings at the exchange? Should I ask NOW to get them set to 6dB both ways (I don't mind if the connection is a bit slower, I'm getting 60Mbps download which is plenty for my needs).

A download SNR of 4 is fine, it probably means DLM has reduced it as your line is performing well.
What you don't want is for it to be varying by more than a couple points each time you check. If that is happening, you have a line problem.
I very much doubt Now have any control over it at all.

It does seem stable around that level. Thanks
