Filters

Hello,

Just moved into a flat, waiting for my Now Broadband to go live. If I use the filter provided by Now, it blocks access to my coaxial socket on the wall.

Am I able to use a third party filter, or do I have to use the one Now provide? I imagine they are all the same inside, but I need one that has a length of cable from the part that attaches to the wall, rather than the block type one Now have sent me.

Thanks

As long as you’re still getting broadband it won’t matter what kit including router you are using. Bear in mind to keep them incase you need to do testing due to a fault etc, as NOW will only take responsibility of their own equipment.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

Yes you can use any DSL filter, as you say they all have the same functionality.

If you have one from a previous supplier, it will be fine.
