Crackling phone

I'm having problems with my phone line with crackling down the line and interference. I've had an engineer look and test the phone line within the house and the line is ok within the house. I would like the line on the outside checked as it sounds like it's a problem outside the house. Neighbours also have similar issues with crackling on the phone line. I've run the online test and says no issues. I'm unsure if NOW TV will be able to help or shpould it be OpenReach or BT as i'm sure they installed the phone lines. Any help would be appreciated.

Your best to call the broadband team again to get OpenReach to sort it out.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

It will be Openreach who will sort the problem, but you (and your neighbours) can't contact them direct, you will each need to work via your ISPs.
