Broadband not strong enough for working from home, how to improve or upgrade

My friend is moving into our house and he is planning on working from home. He needs an upload speed of 10 and a download speed of 40. Ours (when it works) is about 6 upload and 25 download. 

How would I go about improving this or upgrading our contract. It would be nice to talk to a real life human about this and not  a bot.

Are you currently on the fastest NowTV Fibre service which is Super Fibre or Fab Fibre the mid tier speed service? 

 

Each home is different where there are a number of variables, but looking at your figures it sounds to me you are currently on Fab Fibre (NowTV's mid tier service).
