Are there any ways to increase the broadband WIFI signal?

Hi Guys,

I have just installed a NOW broadband. The signal, however, is not strong enough as I could barely receive any from the bedroom. Hence I wonder if there is any thing I can do to increase the signal possibly?

@Cheng

You tagged this under the NOW Black box. Which is NOT the router, it is the streaming device for the app itself and other apps like iPlayer, Disney+ etc.

The only way you can improve Wi-fi signal is through third party devices. Sorry to say you will have to source yourself as NOW only supply the router and nothing more.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

You cannot improve the signal as such, but you may be able to improve connectivity and speed by splitting the SSIDs and connecting devices to the 2.4GHz and 5GHz band separately as appropriate, see Step 4 in the help article here:

For the 2.4GHz band make sure that Bandwidth is set to 20MHz only. And try selecting channels manually, choose 1, 6 and 11 in turn, or use a WiFi scanner to check for local congestion.
