cannot open the battery department to change batteries

Hi, am disabled user..arthritis - have no power in hands and cannot get the slide compartment open to change the batteries..thinking of going to a neighbour for assistance or can someone help on here?

Thank you...did see neighbour and he struggled a bit so have put new batteries in and still no NOW Tv ...there is power to the TV but all ive got is a black screen...no sound/no picture

The normal issue with Now remotes, whether out of battery power or failed more extensively, is that the Now screen loads to the Home page, but you can’t get the cursor to move. Not a black screen.

So just to clarify, is it only Now that gives a black screen, or is it everything else on the TV as well?

In which case, you will need some kind soul to check that out for you, see if the TV needs just a bit of reconfiguration, or maybe an actual repair.

get the iphone app, you will never have to change batteries again. Will be easier to use too.
