What Now device, precisely, is involved here?
It does seem that you have got to a screen relating to the advanced remote you get with the Now Stick, whereas you probably have the simpler remote that came with a Now box (possibly the device you are talking about).
That doesn’t need pairing, though it may be useful to remove the batteries, wait two minutes, and then reinsert them.
After which, unless it is the wrong remote for the Now device, you should just be able to point it at the device and press OK, and have it carry on.
Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
