Why do we need a PIN if no children in the house?

I I find it very annoying having to enter a pin to view 18+ programmes. I have no children in the house, so is not wanted and not needed. I just want to watch whatever content I want without all this fuss. Is ridiculous that there is no way this can be disabled. All I wanted to do was watch Game of Thrones.

PLEASE NOW TV GIVE US ADULTS THE OPTION TO GET RID OF THIS REDICULOUS PIN BUSINESS

Don’t blame Now, blame OfCom. This is their stupid rule, and if Now were to ignore it, OfCom could shut them down.

I think they are worried that a Christian baby, from the famous Quora meme, will break into your house in broad daylight, and start watching the post-watershed programmes that may be playing on your TV.
