Stopped working altogether on Apple TV

Now Tv has stopped working on the new Apple TV. It had been working fine but now nothing. I've restarted, talen the plug off but nothing works. All I see is a black screen. Is the service down?

Those are for a completely different problem though. In my case the app doesn't work at all. I have up to 70mpbs speed and video works in all other apps.

Thanks for posting, sorry that you've had issues with the app. We've had no problem with the service. So we can look into this further can you let me know when the black screen appears? Is it as you select the app or when you try to view content?

It's as I open the app. There's the spinning wheel then it all goes black. A few minutes later it exits the app.

Can you confirm if you have tried the steps given by @caseyb1993?

 

If not would you be able to give them a go as they do usually help.

those steps are not really relevant... all other video plays well and it's not buffering as it doesn't go anywhere near that as the screen remains black, there's no video options coming up

Can you please let me know if you are able to factory reset your Apple TV?

It seems ok now.
Maybe there was a temporary fault and noone else noticed? 🙂
