Hi there, I'm currently with BT on a 24 month broadband contract (started in Nov) and had the letter through saying my broadband will increase from next month. I've seen some good deals with NOW, and was wondering if I were to switch to NOW would I still have to pay the exit fee to get out of BT? It's becoming far too expensive for my usage.
Solved! Go to Solution.
You will have to pay any exit fees you are contractually bound to by BT. NOW don't have any deals where they will defray these if that's what you were thinking.
You also need to check what package you are on with BT. If it’s FTTP (you have a little white box with an Ethernet cable coming out of it, rather than a BT Openreach Master socket) then at best Now will drop you to FTTC, and at worst may not be able to supply you at all.
Have you run Now’s Broadband Availability checker for your address?
