Contract start date

My contract was to end 4 February 2024. I responded to an email to renew my contract today. The new contract is 12 months from today (24 January). Surely as a renewal it should start from when the old contract ended. Could somebody please explain to me why this is not so.

I believe that is quite normal, your new contract takes effect straight away. Any further queries will need to be made directly to NOW, they don't respond on here.

In the email you must have received contact information which you can call the broadband team directly?

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

As @redchiz1 says, I believe it is normal.

You are basically re-negotiating your contract, so the new one starts immediately, and any un-used time from the precious one should be credited in you first payment for the new one.
