They didn’t add it without asking. It was full permission went you took out the entertainment 6 month minimum term offer.

It was very clear that they come with a 7 day free trial of cinema and boost. The T&C also explicitly say £9.99 and £6 after the trial unless cancelled.

You didn’t do live chat, you got the Request a Refund and Get Help Quicker which both are just bots. Live chat is actually speaking to staff.
Make sure to be signed in and use the ‘How to get in touch’ drop down.

Also have a read of this about boost to see what it gives you before you say you don’t need or want it.

Play the cancel game for all your memberships that aren’t tied in for 6 months and you will be given retention offers. Which is why I am paying £2 for boost and £3.99 for cinema, have been for 20+ months too.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

It wasn’t ’full permission’. It was implied consent, created by the tiny grey Remove entries that you didn’t select, as shown here:-

When ‘consent’ is obtained in this way, it is by default, and thus not the ‘explicit consent’ required for the consent to stand. Politely request that any money obtained from you by Now in this way be refunded to you, when you speak to Now as advised by @gavs82008

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Hmm, we will have to continue to agree to disagree to a certain extent. While you may be right about "full permission," the screenshot you have posted could not, in my opinion, be clearer about both the free trial and what happens after.

Having said that, as we both know NOW customer services tend to be sympathetic in such cases.

I don't know if you have got through yet? The easiest way is to use the green Chat online button near the top of the page here
