Subscription I did not subscribe to!

I am really not happy with being charged for something I didn’t even subscribe to! I paid £6.99 for entertainment and NOTHING else.

However, I have been charged for sky/NOW cinema and then NOW boost! I did not do this and I did not want these services yet they have been set up as if I did!

I then try to ring up, no luck it sends me in circles, and the chat also sends me in circles!

I’m really not happy!

@subscriptions

Yes you did, the offers page is VERY clear to what you are getting and I hate to say you didn’t read fully what you were taking up.

The entertainment membership offer of £6.99 clearly states a 7 day free trial of cinema and boost. This is echoed on the T&C of the offer.

You won’t get anywhere with phoning NOW as the call centre is for broadband customers only.

Also before you keep saying you don’t want boost, have a full read of this to determine if you want it or not. Something we use and have been getting for £2 a month for 20+ months thanks to the cancel game.

Where you say ‘Chat’ that’s the unhelpful ‘Get help quicker’ bot. What you need is live chat to speak to staff.
Make sure to be signed in and use the ‘How to get in touch’ drop down.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

The explanation, and the remedy, are here (except that you knew you weren’t talking to Now here):-

https://community.nowtv.com/t5/Account-Billing/Just-started-being-charged-9-99-do-you-do-this-to-eve...

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

@subscriptions I am having the same issue. Putting the onus on the customer to cancel a free package that they did not ask for or want, is a sure fire way of making money and is an underhand way of doing business. Then suggesting that "we don't give refunds" because the customer forgot to cancel the free offer (that they didn't ask for in the first place) is a reprehensible and shameful act.

I understand how you might feel that way, but the fact is that you got what you signed up for and it was detailed in the offer. Take it up directly with NOW as previously advised, they won't respond here on the community.
