Payments

Now TV state I don't have an account but every month I'm charged for cinema £9.99, boost £6 & entertainment £9.99.

Now TV states to contact my bank to get payments stopped,  my bank stated to contact NOW TV as its a continuos card payment. Even a new bank card hadn't stopped the payments.

6 weeks later I'm still being charged and NOW TV won't even acknowledge my replies to their help emails.

If I log in it states I don't have any subscriptions open .

@Paule230

You don't and won't speak to staff about account issues. See this link to explain the purpose of the forum.

Sounds like there is a duplicate account with the same payment details.

Jump onto live chat to speak with staff about a refund. Make sure to be signed in and use the 'How to get in touch' drop down.

Change your bank for one which understands the rules:-

https://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/businesses/complaints-deal/banking-and-payments/continuous-pa...

notably:-

According to the Payment Services Regulations, if a customer asks you to cancel their CPA, you must honour this request. If any further payments are made after their request to cancel, these are unauthorised and you must refund them to the customer.

Banks that say they cannot cancel a CPA, or that you must contact the organisation the CPA is with are wrong. They can, and they must, cancel the CPA at your request; and though it’s advisable for you to contact the organisation the CPA is with (as you have indeed done) this is not a requirement, and they cannot decline to cancel the CPA even if you haven’t done that.

@gavs82008 has covered the likely reasons why you can’t see the account the CPA is being taken against, and I hope Live Chat can sort this out for you, and refund you, as the matter likely goes back before you asked your bank to stop the CPA.

But the bank owe you every payment made after you requested the cancel (excepting any that the request came too late to stop). Every penny of it.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
