I pay for Ads?

So I have paid for a NowTV subscription and all the shows I'm watching have ads.
Is that normal?
It's very disappointing if so 😞

@giblet17

You pay for adverts in Netflix, Disney+, Discovery+ and next month Amazon.

Nothing new and it have been discussed to death on here over the last few years.

Don’t want adverts, me neither. Pay for boost to get rid of them, but still throws NOW trailers down our throats.

As for boost I am paying £2 a month and have been for 18 months, cancel is your friend for discount retention.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

Thanks for the advice @gavs82008, I'll cancel and see what happens.
I disagree on the ads for Netflix though - I've never had any. Amazon does have them but hardly half as many as on NowTV. It just feels so intrusive on here by comparison.
Appreciated,
G

@giblet17

On Netflix adverts are on the basic tier. If you have anything else then you won’t get adverts.

Amazon will be introducing full blown adverts from February. Then you’ll have to pay £2.99 extra to get rid of them.

And Boost only stops ads on On Demand programmes. Live programmes remain chock full of them 😢

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
