Continually being billed after cancelling months ago.

Hello,

I started a membership to watch one film, thinking I could cancel straight after and only be billed for the one month. However, after continually being charged, I somehow have registered for a 6-month membership. I've literally watched that one film and that's it.

I've attempted to speak to the chat bots about my issue but just keep getting 'Sorry, I don't understand that.'

The entire model of NowTV seems to just be about scamming and confusing customers. They trap you in a 6-month contract via small print, when you cancel they make it like a puzzle and ask you multiple times to try and catch you out so you click on the wrong thing, the chatbot doesn't work and there's no contact email or number.

It's quite scummy and I would like a refund.

@JP

Not sure where you didn’t see the 6 month minimum term mentioned? As it is clearly stated here on ALL offers.

Yes there is an email address you can use. No to phone number as that’s for broadband customers only.

This forum is not monitored by staff in that way.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

I think the minimum term is pretty hard to miss:-

IMG_1352.jpeg and that’s not the scummy bitt.

The scummy bit is when you find you’ve been signed up for those two 7 day free trials by default, without your explicit consent, and if you don’t notice, and cancel them, each turns into a paid subscription once the 7 days is up.

Best to check and sort that as well, if you haven’t already.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
