Using my iPad to watch now tv on my tv

Have purchased passes after reading this on the site 

'Connect your iOS device to any TV that has an HDMI port, using an HDMI cable.'

but when I connect my iPad to my tv via hdmi, nowtv says that it doesn't support this?!?

help/more info please

Welcome to the forum. Whilst I haven't connected my iPad via HDMI using screen mirroring myself , NOW TV state it's only supported for sports passes, other passes won't work. Is it a sports pass you are trying to use?

Why is this? I just spent hours on holiday trying to get this to work !
Ended up 3 kids huddled round an iPhone5 watching Snoopy.

Ridiculous that this does not work. I can stream other things via my ipad and hdmi to TV.

In case anybody comes across this old thread, please note NOW TV have now withdrawn support for using AirPlay and/or Apple adaptors with iOS devices. This now won't work with any pass.
