Data usage

I'm wanting to use my three data plan to tether to my iPad and watch the game tonight. I get unlimited data and 30GB of tethering allowance so I'm hardly going to run out but it got me wondering how much data will it use to stream via my iPad?

@Anonymous User Sky quote up to 2.5GB to watch a match on the Sky Go app which is also 720p so it will be about the same for NOW TV (looking at the figure I don't think that includes half-time and pre/post match analysis).

 

Other figures around here mention about 1.7-2GB per hour.

Hi @Anonymous User,

 

Currently NOW TV's maximum bitrate is around 4865Kbps (and it's maximum resolution is 1280x720 pixels) which equates to around 2.2 GB of data per hour.
