I have just logged in to Now TV on my Windows 10 laptop to watch a programme, and on clicking the play button I was informed that there was an update to the Now TV Player.
Being a well behaved, do as you're told sort of computer user, I upgraded and now can't watch anything!
Every time I press play, I get an error message telling me that:
The procedure entry point
?get_builtin_module@node@@YAPAUnode_module@1@PBD@Z could not be located on the dynamic library
C:\Users\Loki\AppData\Roaming\NOW TV\NOW TV Player\Now TV Player.exe
This means nothing to me whatsoever, but clearly there is something amiss with the updated version of the Now TV Player.
I have uninstalled the player, re-installed. Turned my laptop off and on again - all the usual stuff - but it still doesn't work.
Please could anyone advise?
Many thanks,
Stuart

@schnappsas I said, I cannot get it in the Windows Store so it's not an answer for me. Thanks though. I don't understand why they make this so difficult for people who are actually willing to pay for the services when doing it illegally is actually EASIER. Companies like this need to look at their main competitor, which has NEVER given me any troubles or requires another app, and realise just WHY their competitor is doing so well.

Same is happening to me, just keeps telling me I need to install even though I've just done it. It's already a nightmare getting the Now TV player to work, and 1 in every 2 times I go to view in the evening I have to restart my computer to get it to work, but now it's not working at all?? Please could someone from Now TV advise when this issue will be fixed? Considering you're owned by one of the biggest media corporations in the world, it would seem reasonable that you have a slightly better functioning website!

Hi StuartWillis,
Go to your roaming folder:
C:\Users\Loki\AppData\Roaming\
(it may be a hidden folder so make sure you show hidden items by clicking view on the top bar and ticking "Hidden Items")
and delete both NowTV folders (you should see "NOW TV" and "NOW TV Player" or at least one of the two).
Finally go to https://web.static.nowtv.com/watch/NOWTVPlayerInstaller-Full-Windows.exe
to download the install file and re-install
Hope that works!
Edit: Just realised I replied to an old post, well hopefully some people will find use out of this!

Hi @Anonymous User and @Anonymous User,
Can you please let me know if you are still experiencing this issue at all?
Thanks,
Karl

It worked after they removed the update required thing the next day per the other post here. Haven't tried it since then though.
