Monthly device limit reached

Well this is annoying enought to cancel a subscription...

I signed up on my laptop. Watched first film on iPad. All good.

Then using media PC on TV wanted to watch a film but needed to remove laptop from devices. Not really an issue but annoying all the same. Oh, and quality of stream was worse than NetFlix and LoveFilm, but put up with it. Like watching a pirate move from the 90's 🙂

Hotle tonight. Can I watch on the iMac in the room? No. Just a black screen. Same happened on media PC so assume it is the device limit. Remove iPad from device list. Still doesn't work. OK, I've got my iPad with me. Goes to watch film..."You have already used up your monthly allowance for adding new devices on your NOW TV account" Useless.

I wanted to like NOW TV as LoveFilm and NetFlix have such crap streaming selections - but they at leat work. I've had zero technical issues on a number of deivces with those services. Why can't this be just as easy?

Dear Glenda,

as you can see in the previous post, you can only make one device change per month. It looks as though you have done this and so you can add a new device as this will be another change.

Please do let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards

Kathrin

I had a phone, a chromecast and two PCs added when trying to use the chromecast it wouldn't let me and I didn't realise there was this whole device limit thing so I deleted the two PCs. I had been unsure which was which and would only use one so I deleted assuming I would just add back the PC I do use. After that the chromecast worked but now cannot add the PC back because of this limit rubbish.  My PC is the main device I watch tv off so this is a major problem.

If someone could reset my device limit I would appreciate it.

I took off one of my devices last week so I could add the app to my iPhone, all was working perfectly until now. I now get a message pop up on my phone and my LG tv saying maximum number of device changes used in a month, come back next month to add more. I don't want to add any more, I just want to watch nowtv on my phone or television!

Hi @Anonymous User,

As you may or may not be aware, the NOW TV service permits you to register up-to four playback devices and view their service on up-to two at the same time on the same NOW TV account. You can find out which devices you currently have registered by selecting the: 'My Account' button and accessing 'Manage Devices'.

Ordinarily you are permitted to change one registered device per month. However, for 'forced' device limit resetting you will need contact a NOW TV representative, which can be done via the forums 'Live Chat' facility or 'Send us a message' facility (but please be aware they are not obliged to perform this service). Here's what you need to do: -

  • Click on the following: How To Contact NOW TV link.
  • To 'Send us a message', click on the light blue 'Send Message' button.
  • To start a 'Live Chat', click on the dark blue 'Chat online' button.
  • A new 'What can we help you with today?' pop-up window should open up.
  • Click on the 'Request Chat' button.

Cheers

Hi @Anonymous User

Follow the instructions in @SeeMoreDigital  post directly above your post. Those instructions will allow you to contact now TV customer services to get your device management issues sorted out

I do not work for Now . I am simply a Now customer trying to help I am a Community Contributor This means that I know a lot about the service. But just like you I am still a customer. This means I cannot help you with issues that would involve looking into your account directly. A member of the now TV forum team or live chat will need to assist you with these issues.

Hi @Anonymous User,

That's odd. When you select the 'My Account' button and access 'Manage Devices', how many times is your laptop mentioned?
