Monthly device limit reached

Well this is annoying enought to cancel a subscription...

I signed up on my laptop. Watched first film on iPad. All good.

Then using media PC on TV wanted to watch a film but needed to remove laptop from devices. Not really an issue but annoying all the same. Oh, and quality of stream was worse than NetFlix and LoveFilm, but put up with it. Like watching a pirate move from the 90's 🙂

Hotle tonight. Can I watch on the iMac in the room? No. Just a black screen. Same happened on media PC so assume it is the device limit. Remove iPad from device list. Still doesn't work. OK, I've got my iPad with me. Goes to watch film..."You have already used up your monthly allowance for adding new devices on your NOW TV account" Useless.

I wanted to like NOW TV as LoveFilm and NetFlix have such crap streaming selections - but they at leat work. I've had zero technical issues on a number of deivces with those services. Why can't this be just as easy?

Dear Glenda,

as you can see in the previous post, you can only make one device change per month. It looks as though you have done this and so you can add a new device as this will be another change.

Please do let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards

Thanks for posting, I'm sorry to hear you've not been able to access live chat the button should appear - if it doesn't a possible reason for that could be that all specialists are currently busy, trying again a little latter you would probably find the button available, apologies if this has caused any confusion.

I've sent you a private message to discuss your issue in a little more detail which involves discussing information related to your account.

Completely agree with MIla. Live chat involves pointless security questions rathar than providing a quick solution. We do not have time to go through all this questions.

I am extremely disappointed with the fact that it is not very clear that if you delete devices you will not be able to watch on them again for this reason I shall not be continuing with my now TV subscription and won't be recommending this service with my friends. I think this should be more clear for the benefit of future subscribers.

Hi jonnyafr007,

Sorry to hear that you feel this way.

The device management tool in My Account can help to manage your registered devices, however, tips on how to use it effectively can be found on this Help Article.

Hope this helps.

All the best,

Try reading a customers response and treat them like a customer instead of a tax avoidance perpertrator. Everyone should stop using Now TV until customer services start reading, yes ii mean READING,  the problems outlined. Get into the 21st century! My company along with my colegues and now extended family have ceased the service and through contacts speading the word about the Now TV device limitations and as you suggest in your post, read the tips and warnings about using the service.

Hi,

I went to watch a film on my laptop and it said monthly limit reached. I only ever use my laptop, so I removed the laptop from the list and went to try and watch the film again. It again said that I have reached my limit.

I only ever use my laptop so no other devices should be registered.

What can I do?

Hi holla,

Thanks for getting in touch.

I've just sent you a private message. To get to your Private messages just click on the little grey envelope hovering at the top of the page on the right.

Don't worry, we're aware of the Device Management tool not exactly being user friendly. We are changing this for you all to make it a lot easier on the eye and to use.

In the mean time, we do have a guide on Device Management in our Help section, you can find it by clicking here.

If you need anything else just give me a shout.

All the best,

Shannon
