After activating a Sports day pass to watch a match on my PC I find the player is just a black screen. Typically sources of help are limited, no help phone no, no online advisor, just a forum option to get advice. I found a FAQ suggesting Silverlight settings can cause the black screen so I've tried the fixes including downloading Silverlight again using the troubleshooter. It still doesn't work. Funny that I never have any problems with BT and Amazon on my PC. Both of their services use Silverlight.
The game I want to watch kicks off at 12 o'clock. If I miss it it will be second time Now TV have sold me an unusable service when I want to watch football. And I've only used them twice! 2 tries and two fails will mean I never use Now TV again. After I get refunded for the pass you can just remove all my details from your database.

If you are a Windows 8 or above user, I'd recommend downloading the dedicated NOW TV app from the Windows Store https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/store/apps/now-tv/9wzdncrdm157 and using that to watch instead as it will save you from messing around with browsers and Silverlight.

In that case there are plenty of other users around who should be able to help you, but I'm a Mac user myself. Good luck! 🙂

Well thanks for commenting. Those other users you mentioned, I posted half an hour ago and not one has been in to advise. Something tells me I'll need all the good luck going to see the match.

Silverlight problems can sometimes be difficult to crack as what works for one person doesn't always work for another, but while you're waiting for other replies you could give live chat a try if you want. For a shortcut to get there go to the following help page
http://help.nowtv.com/article/None-of-the-above
and click the green Contact Us button near the bottom left of it (not the How to Contact Us link right at the bottom as that takes you somewhere else) then choose the Live Chat option on the following page.

Don't think I'll bother. It's pretty clear nobody has any informed idea of what to do.
I'm now watching Sports 2 on my phone. At least Now TV works on something. Still watching on 5 inch screen rather than a 40 inch one is pretty far from my expectation. If it wasn't a Rangers v Celtic game I'd already be looking for a refund.
I'll be making a strongly worded complaint about how poor I think Now TV is. I only hope all the matches I want to watch next season are on BT.

@Anonymous User if you want to be watching NOW TV on a 40" TV you'd be better off using any of the other compatible devices. The stream quality to PC is only SD.

Hey @Anonymous User
Sorry to hear that you had trouble watching NOW TV via your PC, What browser were you using ? Is Silverlight enabled within the browser settings ?
Thanks
Andy

Yes it is. I use Firefox and Silverlight is set to always activate. I've already mentioned BT and Amazon work perfectly for me. Both of their services use Silverlight. It's just Now TV that doesn't perform out of the pay per view services I use.
