intermittent broadband connection

broadband connectivity has recently been cutting out regularly.  the flashing orange face and lack of network connection is common and is causing a big problem trying to work from home during covid-19 lockdown.  used online help tool and res-set from scratch to no avail.  problem has been heightened within last 48hrs.
