delay in broadband activation

Moving address and my activation date was 02/07 received a text today stating 'We're sorry theres been a delay on your broadband and phone order. We're working to fix this as soon as possible. We will update you on 02/07 

 

I check my message centre etc and it doesnt say anything about this. I simply cannot wait until the date of activation for an update. I work from home and broadband is essential. I leave my current property on the 1st July as the basis was an engineer was due between 8am - 1pm on the 2nd (there is a phoneline fitted already previous tenant had sky broadband) and this was my activation date. Very unhappy at the lack of information provided how can i receive a text message but my NowTV account shows nothing about this? What is going on? If my activation wont go live the 2nd id like to know now to give me a chance to look at my options ith other broadband suppliers?
