I have had this problem twice now and it is always when I have to input information via the phone key pad i.e. press 1 for accounts or when adding my date of birth as the answer to a securty question the first time this happend my land line was dead all day no icomming or outgoing calls. it has happend again today but the line was only down for 1/2 hour. internet was and is working fine and troubleshooting says no issues/faults present

Have you tried the number I posted earlier? If you follow the prompts for broadband they can deal with phone issues also. Otherwise, try calling from a mobile.

Whether it goes to the same team as the number @redchiz1 posted I don't know, however it does sound more like the phone may be faulty.
