That’s unlikely, as if they didn’t pay it, people could report them to Ofcom, and Now would then be in hot water.
Next time they try to sell you this bill of goods, ask them to define ‘statutory’ and ‘compliance’.
But do be aware that the clock on this only starts ticking from the moment you inform them of the outage or delay; you can’t just call up after a week without broadband and expect £50 or so.
Point them to the Help article that @gavs82008 linked to, and say “Physician, heal thyself!” 😛
