auto compensation

Hi what do i need to do to get auto compensation - i went a week without broadband - telephoned today and was offered £5 - had ongoing issues with misinformation from call centre - very poor service

each time i call Now they say they do not offer £9.33 a day compensation - has anyone ever been compensated

That’s unlikely, as if they didn’t pay it, people could report them to Ofcom, and Now would then be in hot water.

Next time they try to sell you this bill of goods, ask them to define ‘statutory’ and ‘compliance’.

But do be aware that the clock on this only starts ticking from the moment you inform them of the outage or delay; you can’t just call up after a week without broadband and expect £50 or so.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

I think I will have to go to ofcom - ihave phoned several times about this - no one in the call centre is aware of it

Point them to the Help article that @gavs82008 linked to, and say “Physician, heal thyself!” 😛
