Wired connection restricts Wi-Fi ?!

To watch football at a reasonable quality I need to plug my Now Tv box direct to my router with the Ethernet cable.

Unfortunately when I do this the download speed on the internet speed checker is zero on the Wi-Fi signal sent from the router which annoys the rest of my family !! 
Does anyone have any ideas to fix this please ?

Start by rebooting the router, and seeing if that fixes it.

It is certainly not correct behaviour.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it. Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now. That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
