Our broadband is super sketchy. We've had a new router from NOW team, which sort of improved things a bit for a few days, but then same thing. They sent an engineer out who gave us a new phone socket, but it hasn't made much difference.
When I check the activity log it says "eth0 (Int switch port: 3) (Logical Port: 3) Link DOWN" followed by "eth0 (Int switch port: 3) (Logical Port: 3) Link UP" over and over again, sometimes several times in under a minute as well as:
Mar 6 13:18:33 syslog: VCOP agent started.
Mar 6 13:24:54 syslog: Lease renewed 3600 ip xx.xx.xx.xxx
Mar 6 13:24:55 syslog: VCOP agent started.
Mar 6 13:54:54 syslog: Lease renewed 3600 ip xx.xx.xx.xxx
Mar 6 13:54:55 syslog: VCOP agent started.
Mar 6 14:08:54 syslog: Lease renewed 3600 ip xx.xx.xx.xxx
Mar 6 14:08:55 syslog: VCOP agent started.
Why is it doing this?
Is this why everything keeps disconnecting?
I used a wifi analyser app and it says our speed is good, (nothing like advertised, but they never are) but jitter is high.
When I connect via ethernet I still frequently lose connection, and I have tried replacing ethernet cables, it doesn't really help.
Any ideas?

Sounds like a fault with the line or the main feeding your property.
Call the team again and ask for full investigation.
