I use the NOWTV hub together with the Billion router, which is connected through Ethernet using powerline adapters. I know that it's impossible to change DNS service in the NOWTV router. So I wonder if I can use it just as a modem but use the Billion router for DNS? I'd like to use either Google or OpenDNS. The reason is that some of websites and services do not on WiFi for me (like for example BBC iPlayer). If I want to use them on my phone I have to switch to 4G, connect to them and then switch back to WiFi, it works after that. I have a suspicion that it's due to some DNS problem. Today, for example, I opened an app on my phone and it could not connect. When I switched to 4G it connected straight away and then I could use it with WiFi. In any case I want to use the Billion router for everything but modem.
