Unacceptably slow broadband speed < 5Mbps when Im guaranteed 36.1Mbps on my contract.

Unacceptably slow broadband speed < 5Mbps (this is the recorded download speed when Im the only person on the net work testing the speed) when I'm guaranteed 36.1Mbps on my contract. I have not changed my set up configuration since having installed the router 2 years ago and I suddenly get this issue. I gone through the the fixes that have been suggested, and still doesn't work after being told that the line is fine and the problem is with my set up. Trying to get hold of someone on the chat is impossible as there is never an agent available and if I call the support number I get a continuous dial tone. This is a Kafkaesque nightmare. Can someone from support please contact us (Two work from home parents and two children that need home schooling) Thank you.

What number did you call? Because the broadband team is a free from 0800 number.
